Stephen Green collection, 1946-1988.

Reports, memoranda, dispatches, and printed matter, relating to relations between the United States and Israel since 1948, American military assistance to Israel, and the Israeli naval and air attack on the U.S.S. Liberty on 8 June 1967. Used as research material for the books by Stephen Green, Taking Sides: America's Secret Relations with a Militant Israel (1984) and Living by the Sword: America and Israel in the Middle East (1988). Includes many photocopies of U.S. Government documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act. Also includes manuscript of Living by the Sword and some correspondence of Stephen Green relating to accumulation of the research material.
